It’s my birthday next tuesday and my family is getting increasingly impatient with me for present ideas.
What do you get the man who has everything?
As my friend Damian would say “a box to put it all in”. Unfortunately while mildly amusing it doesn’t help.
I really am stuck for ideas.
We thought we had a solution, I would get vouchers to finish off my snowboarding lessons, but Clare and Amy want to do skiing instead and Damian is watching his finances. I’m not sure I want to do it alone.
Camera stuff and gadgets would be an idea but I really can’t think of anything I need, other than a backdrop to do some video blogging stuff and a shoot-through brolly or two (David the reluctant photography guru now recommends them rather than the reflective type I have). They are more work stuff than birthday though, right?
So I am stumped.
Suggestions?

I love theme park rides (proper ones, not those that pop up during the night and leave as quickly), but according to The Sun
Any parent seen tapping on a PDA will have it confiscated by special wardens at Alton Towers.
This seems as good a reason as any to save my money and keep my portable computing device safe. WTF are they thinking? What if you are not there with kids but still a parent, do you get your gadget stolen then? If one parent receives an urgent message while the other parent is observing do they snatch it or leave you be? Is there any right of appeal?
I am hoping Sun journalists have got this wrong, wouldn’t be the first time.

What the heck, I might as well post twice since I found another Christine Kane video on YouTube. Love this stuff.

One of the best things about going to SOBCon in Chicago was meeting Christine Kane, what a star! Check this great video out.

I would have loved this kit as a kid, probably still would as an adult, but where the heck did he find time to put it together?
Great piece of blog entertainment though that and happy birthday Lego!

Here are several evenings of my life condensed into 3:38 of time lapse footage as I assemble the “Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon” LEGO set, the largest yet sold, with over five thousand individual elements.
