Free Blog Critiques, get them while they are hot
Fairly regularly people ask me for blogging advice and usually I just reply with a short email. Today I realised that actually I should (with the bloggers permission of course) really post my replies up for all to see and benefit from.
I’m going to start with the most recent request (providing he gets back to me to say it is ok) but let me know if you would like me to take a look at your blog in future.
I had better state now I am not making any promises that I will be able to do each one or that I will be able to get them completed quickly, real work has to take priority. Keep in mind that I do this for a living so I am not going to do for free what I would ordinarily get paid quite a lot of money for! Also what I write will be opinions based on my own experience, YMMV.Before anyone points it out, I do realise the irony of giving out blog advice from my own obviously shabby blog.
That said I know most bloggers, especially when starting out, don’t have the sort of capital it would require to hire me so consider the brevity of my answers and making the advice public a kind of payment, heh. I would hope others will chip in with their own advice in the comments to supplement my own meagre nuggets of wisdom.Watch this space for the first critique …

This should be exciting, but I’d prefer to read and learn in silence - at the humiliation of others. Besides, I blog without purpose - along with most of the world. Yes, I know that’s wrong, but I’m mad (crazy/insane/out of my mind/nuts) - so it’s all good.
