What a week
This week has been … um … fun.
Tuesday was our 8th wedding anniversary but Amy was sick so rather than going out for a lovely romantic meal we instead had a takeaway curry.
Still, it was a nice curry and it is always nice to have a wedding anniversary.
More good news we announced the beta of our new Performancing Partners blog advertising network. Pretty exciting stuff, now you know what I have been programming in secret.
And there was more excitement this morning, this time with my old/new nemesis; the dreaded contact lenses. I thought I had them beat, they were becoming relatively tame beasts. I could put them in no bother, taking them out was getting easier each time. But oh they had devious tricks yet unseen.
Nobody ever warned me that these buggers fragment in your eye!
I couldn’t understand why my left eye was going into spasm so I pulled out the lens for another try only to see half of it was mising. After spending a good half our trying to fish around for a piece of lens I had to admit defeat and go to the opticians. Ten minutes with a microscope and some sort of prodding implement and the optician had caught and landed the lens shard and deposited it in the bin.
Be warned, as well as being tricky to catch these buggers self destruct!
